How these webcam motion games work
ApeMotion uses on-device computer vision to detect your movements in real time and map them to simple game actions (jump, punch, dodge, etc.). It’s similar to “motion gaming” on a console, but you only need your camera—no motion controllers, no Joy-Cons, no VR setup.
Quick setup tips
- Use good lighting so your body is clearly visible to the camera.
- Stand 1.5–3 meters from the webcam for full-body detection (depending on your lens and space).
- Make sure you have a clear, safe area to move—especially for jumping or punching games.
Games you can play right now

- Boxing Target — a reaction-speed boxing game (punch targets using motion tracking)
- Underwater Fish Farm — a relaxing motion game where you control two fish at once
FAQ
Do I need a controller or any device?
No. ApeMotion is designed for camera-only play. Your movements become the input.
Is my camera video uploaded?
Motion detection runs on your device. The site may download vision model assets to your device, but your camera video is not intended to be uploaded to our servers for gameplay.
Why does the game ask for camera access?
The webcam is used to track your body/hand movements so you can control the game without a controller.
Are these good for families or parties?
Yes. These games are designed for short rounds and turn-taking. Make sure you have a safe space to move.
